    BentMonk's 15 Minutes

I am in the latest issue of Kung Fu Magazine. I'm the guy doing kettlebells in the "Handicapped Combat" article. That's me holding the kwan do as well. Thanks KFM for giving me 15 more minutes of fame.

    ah the coveted published piece.

something to show your friends and make them go "hmmm, he must be for real, it says so in this magazine!"
Kung Fu is good for you.

Ahhh......if only there were more wookies in martial arts.....lol....

I followed you public profile home page (didn't know you could do that, link to pages from here....****, I suck when it comes to internet), and read your stuff.

that's great work you do. Truly great. I once studied with a man who was rehabilitating after a nearly fatal car crash that left him temporarily paralyzed. He wasn't supposed to be able to walk. But when he actually did, and later wanted to improve his coordination, balance, and strength, and came to study at the school I was going to---I'd never seen that kind of humility, appreciation, and hard work.

He wsa an amazing guy. Made me appreciate every day I trained and instructed him. People were always quitting, and this guy had every reason in the world to quit, but he stuck with it and made such great strides in his rehab with that school that you could hardly tell this was the same guy that came into the school with crutches.

Props on your commitment, bro. You've got every reason in the world to walk with you head held high.

    Peace.

Nah, my friends know I'm for real when I'm punching them.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I just hope that what I and others like me do gets one disabled kid to say, "Well if they can do it, I can too."
