    Question about Martialartsmart Swords

Does anybody know which of the tai chi swords on Martialartsmart are more weighted and study and more like a combat sword as compared to a wushu spring steel sword? Are the ones marked combat like 440 steel or something?

my personal favorite are the han wei brand swords - they are weighted well and are most certainly not the springy wushu type

    The Hanweis are excellent

I'd add that the Dragon Well swords are also good choices for traditional CMA. These are a little easier to maintain than the Hanweis. Hanwei's high carbon steel requires constant oiling or it'll rust in a few days. Also Hanwei tends to epoxy their pieces together so they cannot be disassembled if you want to swap parts or due some personal modifications. The Dragon Well swords aren't as finished as the Hanweis, but much easier to work upon. Nevertheless, the damascus hanwei is a beauty.

The other non-wushu jians that we carry are from Shaolin Forge, but you need a strong wrist to use these for regular practice.
