Pre-****ing-cisely. Does it say in her contract she must endure all kinds of puerile sexist bullying? Is she in porn? No. There are levels of behaviour. He should have been arrested for public indecency.

Now bring on the pics of girls with big hooters!

puhleeze, both of you (missed your comment the first time, Rogue).

if a woman is going to doing anything relating to T&A, be it ring girl, hooter's girl...whatever, then they need to expect that some ******* is going to do something stupid. to run off crying like that just shows she needs to grow up a little before deciding if she really wants to walk around shaking her T&A in front of the general public.

Don't know about cosmopolitan, but she ran upstairs and cried because she saw some dude's willy? That's pretty sad. Unless he had a really, really scary willy...

Only a Japanese article would post this without pics...

Ring girl' struts her stuff for tough crowds (1/2ページ)
    2007.11.22 22:54

Emily Miller is a ring girl - a cheery official title for a 21-year-old woman.

Her job description is fairly basic. After men pound each other silly in the ring of the increasingly popular mixed martial arts International Fight League, Miller circles the ring holding up a numbered card as a reminder of the upcoming round.

Her sashay in a swimsuit top and skimpy little bottoms is usually accompanied by catcalls, cheers and beery breathing. The Des Moines woman's visual announcements are showcased before a national audience on MyNetworkTV and Fox Sports Net in a league many say has stolen interest from the musty, declining sport of boxing. She is one of only three ring girls.

"I went to DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College). I was in business administration when everything started to get crazy for me," she said. "I really didn't know what I wanted to do, anyway."

While in high school, she fell into a crowd that frequented the old Toad Holler bar in Des Moines, which held mixed martial arts fights weekly. The sport involves boxing, wrestling, karate and other methods of flesh pounding. She fell in love with the raw brutality of it, the passion and dedication to survive such aggression.

At one bout she met fighter Tim Sylvia. He called her when the IFL was looking for a ring girl in August 2006. When she got the job, she said, her parents were supportive, as always.

"They knew how much I loved the sport," she said. "Besides, I'm still young."

The first event was a packed house of thousands in Portland, Ore.

    "I was terrified," she said.

There she was, nearly bare, walking around the ring before packs of mostly men who had enjoyed a few adult beverages.

"But I've had no serious problems," she said. "Some will yell negative things. The girls might start yelling at me if they are with their boyfriends. But there are bodyguards."

Miller, who looks taller than 5-foot-6 and lighter than her 125 pounds, said she has learned a few moves of her own. She does Pilates, takes a kickboxing class and runs. The fighters are brotherly, protective - and instructive on chokeholds.

"To be a fighter, you've got to be a little crazy," she said.

The job has led to some modeling contacts. The league Web site proclaims she has even sold some of her abstract paintings. And she has gained public relations experience promoting the league at conventions.

But mostly she has fun traveling the country and taking the stage.

"I pump up the crowd and get them excited. Every girl likes attention. When guys hoot and holler for you - I think that's fun."
Fortunately, with the web, we can find pics.

I definitely wish I had a better camera. A couple of them did look pretty good.

just to play with my moderator abilities, I'll make this sticky...if the consensus is that it shouldn't be a sticky, I'll unsticky it.

#7 won 1000 bucks in the ring girls contest.

I think that was as much as the winner of the 'championship' match got.

women are so much smarter than men.

    Bodacious Boobs

There's a link to the Chicks and Hits vid in the article.
Showtime Hits A Lower Common Denominator Than I Ever Thought Possible
    9/12/08

I'll be upfront and honest. I like Mixed Martial Arts and, every so often, a good boxing match.

Why? Well, it's not like I'm some kind of violence lover (personally, I wouldn't dare think of ever messing up my beautiful face), I just happen to like watching a good, clean fight at times. I'm also not foolish enough to think that everyone who enjoys MMA and boxing is a nut case either.

The majority of MMA and boxing fans - who like the sports much more than I do - tend to be very knowledgeable about them and defend them well against people who dismiss them as sports of violence (note: football's kind of violent too).

So, uh, this Showtime commercial above that's currently being aired will probably make fans of MMA and boxing sort of mad.

Basically, this commercial is about two things, 'Chicks and Hits', which is also the title of the hideous song in it. That may also be why, at one point in time, we're given a graphic running across the screen that says "Bodacious Boobs." Actually, by the end of the commercial, I have the impression that boxing and MMA are about well, boobs, rather than any actual fighting - aside from ear popping, of course.

Frankly, this commercial may be the worst thing I've ever seen. Sure, boxing is a dying sport , but this won't save it. And while MMA is up and coming, it doesn't need publicity like this to ruin it's already fragile public acceptance.

Let's just pray the NHL doesn't try anything like this. The last thing any hockey fan wants to see is a bikini-clad girl getting cross checked into a wall to promote the sport.
