    Hard & Soft Chi Gung

I Study both Ving Tsun and Tai Chi. In VT we do Iron Palm training, and in TC we do soft chi gong.

My Question is, will one practice negate the other ?

No. I don't believe so. Iron Palm is developed through internal energy. Taiji is said to be "steel wrapped in cotton". Any good Iron Palm training should be internal.
    Bless you

You must do both for reliable proficiency until the chi is sufficiently developed to exceed blunt external conditioning. Boxing is fast, and easy to learn. Ironplam is not.
~Powerlifting will give you explosive strength, but it won't give you the ability to make "selective" breaks.~
In my experience, ironplam skills rely more on chigong than hardstyle conditioning, but that's just me.
