didn't you say you were done?
didn't you say you were done?
The shoot or tackle would not have worked against a skilled fighter.
You are making this to dam easy......You are a moron and I am being nice!!!
The grappling element turns many matches into a game of chess, if you want to see top level grappling see the Abu dhabi matches.
MMA with its striking element AND grappling element is a whole other beast.
Wanna see top level striking?
k-1 kick boxing
Wanna see top level submission grappling?
Abu Dhabi and Naga
Wanna see top level gi grappling?
Sport BJJ and Judo and Sambo
Wanna see Top Level wrestling?
International and Olympic wrestling.
Wanna see all of the above mixed together?
MMA.
Can't compare them, they are apples and oranges:
Yes they both have peels, pits and grow on trees and give juice, but no one is gonna mistake one for the other.
An educated viewer is a good viewer.
If this guy was a skilled fighter could he have avoided the takedown , yes or no???
Did he or did he not put himself into this situation by his lack of understanding of the grapplers mind and skill and because of his own inexperience, yes or no??
Are we not seeing strikers now that can in fact avoid this type of takedown and stay standing and defeat grapplers because of superior stand up skills, yes or no??
,Did he or did he not put himself into this situation by his lack of understanding of the grapplers mind and skill and because of his own inexperience
Isn't this your own personal dilemma?
Dude, the answer is NO, do you not notice that there are no more PURE grapplers in UFC? They have to learn enough stand up to keep from getting KTFO. The Stand up guys learn enough grappling skill to be able to negate the shoots and get off their backs. Do you think being able to stuff a shoot, get out of mount or get the **** up off the floor as something inherit in a striking style? Negro Please! Are we not seeing strikers now that can in fact avoid this type of take down and stay standing and defeat grapplers because of superior stand up skills,
Those could be a factor, bad timing, a small pebble on the floor, he studied kung fu for 20 years... these are all relevant excuses but you would have to ask him.Did he or did he not put himself into this situation by his lack of understanding of the grapplers mind and skill and because of his own inexperience, yes or no??
Wow, its 2007 and people are STILL stupid about grappling. YAY! If I ever get in a fight with them, a choke, armbreak or earth shattering slam will be easy, and I can move on to more productive things.
I love this ****. Tell you what....
I won't tell you how to properly do TCMA footwork and forms, and you don't tell me **** on what "is and isn't" about grappling.
Fair enough?
