It may sound silly, but if you are training with force and really trying to see if the "knife attack" can be stopped you might be surprised by what can cut and do damage, I have seen others and have myself been cut and opened up by things you would never think of as dangerous. Training blades are made for this work and are much safer IME..

my take on it is as such-if there's an exchange of opinions, knowledge,openmindedness, and intelligence, then fine. But once it turns into a a battle of (dim)wits, then all bets are off, and out come the rubber chickens and whoopee cushions.
