The talented Smith family clearly enjoyed posing with Jackie Chan at the premiere of Karate Kid in Tokyo. The film's been a real family affair with Will helping to produce the film and Jaden his son taking a giant leap into the acting world, playing Dre, the main character. Jada and Willow clearly loved it too - we wonder if they picked up any Kung Fu moves?

'The Karate Kid' gets DVD release date

Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith and his parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were in Tokyo last week to promote the opening of The Karate Kid in theaters there.

But here, the film has just gotten a DVD and Blu-Ray Combo Pack release date: It arrives Oct. 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The DVD of the box-office hit, which has grossed more than $170 million, will have special features including the music video for the film's song, Never Say Never, featuring Jaden Smith singing with Justin Bieber. The Karate Kid will be available for $28.96 for the DVD and $38.96 for the Blu-ray Combo Pack.

Just in time for the holidaze...

Jaden Smith will appear at Justin Bieber’s concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 31st. All you Beliebers know that this is the concert that is being filmed for Justin’s movie!

Justin will be performing the song “Never Say Never” with Justin and Jaden’s family, including father Will Smith, is set to be in the audience.

Are any of you attending the concert or heading into NYC for the day for a chance to be in the movie?

Kung Fu star hits Capital

Kung Fu master and Daoist priest Yuan Xiu Gang is to visit Edinburgh on his first trip to Europe.

Master Yuan, who appeared in last year's Karate Kid movie with Jackie Chan, began training in martial arts at the age of just seven.

He now runs his own Kung Fu school at Wudang Mountain in China.

He will meet and work with secondary school children in the Capital, as well as making two public appearances.

He will talk at St John's Church on Princes Street on January 14 at 7pm and give an open class the following day at 10am.

yea...i some how doubt that would be in a kids film...however it would have been awesome to have a very quicky 3 second shot of that.

you know what i noticed about jackie....with prob the exception of shanghai noon and not really.... he is always successful in america when he has a black co-star. which is great since every black person i know, martial artist or not. knew who jackie chan was before the first rush hour movie or rumble in the "bronx"
