My inferior extensor retinaculum is damaged. When I move my foot, it feels as if the tendon is popping. Does have experience with this?

The extensor retinaculum is a ligament type material that the tendons are beneath they add stability to a joint and the tendons much like at the wrist. If one is torn it can be repaired . most patients develope tendinitis or inflammation of the area. it can heal but should be immobilized to do so. KC

in addition to what KC said you can also get deep fiber frictioning from an MT to the area and that will also aid the recovery process quicker. but obviously not at the onset of the injury. ice to aid in further repair(as ice will increase the circulation to that area).
