It happens. ESPECIALLY in the midwest.

Not prior to the last few years, not in my memory anyway.

I've lived in Illinois for 24 years of my life prior to going into the service. The weather is very unpredictable.

Maybe the rest of the year, but up untill recently, you could count on severe cold January through mid Febuary, and often below freezing into early march.

60's and 70's are totally UN HEARD OF in not only my life time, but my parents and Grand parents as well...let alone multiple days at those temps.

Ok, it never got past 53 today, so I feel better, BUT that is still very warm for Chicago in January.

Did you see the Packers-Giants game?

Those -2F temps were some real global warming huh?
When given the choice between big business and big government, choose big business. Big business never threw millions of people into gas chambers, but big government did.

Global warming is also global cooling.
Where the temperature heats up, the regions formerly warm get cold and vice-versa. That is what some of the literature suggests.

It does not matter anyway. Idiots still smoke, some say the world is flat, some kill in the name of religion or politics...
Even if there was definitive proof of global warming, many wouldn't heed the advice like many do not when it comes to healthy lifestyle choices.

I doubt the world will come crumbling down in my life (it might), so I'm happy.

The problem is that it's only -2 for a very narrow part of the winter, instead of mid December through almost end of February like it used to be 15 years ago, going back 3 generations at least.

It was 65 degrees in Jan of 1876. Which, btw is nine degree's higher than your 54 degree;s in 08.

Show's how much you and your grandparents know about the middlewest
