    Backflipping wrestler

    Just saw this on CNN: HS wrestler has been practicing this technique, and found the opportunity to use it in a match:

    (Note: I think this is the clip; I can't view it at work, but this should be it).

    I think it's pretty ingenious. These kind's of traps rely on your downward gravitational energies. He didn't buy into the game.

    I agree. It relies on the opponent's surprised shock and his willingness to let go in response. If the opponent has a half-assed grip, though, it's perfectly valid. That kid knew exactly what to do when his opponent tried to force him over, rather than trap the leg under his armpit. Props to the kid. He took the dude down right away.

    Sometimes bad ideas can be genius, but it's probably not a good idea to try this more than a couple of times.

    I could see someone getting a hard knee to the chin when you flip.
