    Taiji Legacy San Shou Question

Athletes: 18-35 yrs. (16 yrs. w/written permission from a parent or guarding) must be in excellent health and good conditioning, free of previous and disqualifying injuries, free of life threatening and transmittable diseases. All athletes must have proof of medical insurance and sign the Tournament Director/Promoter's waiver form.
Do they actually make amateur fighters show proof of insurance? All my fighters are college age and do not have insurance.

It's rough having your medical needs taken care of.

No thanks, I don't need greedy government officials with no medical training at all telling my Doctor what he can, and can't do so far as treating and diagnosing me goes.

You already do. It's called Medical Insurance.

I hope you don't actually think that's what goes on here!
LOL...our system isn't perfect....and many doctors make their own decisions involving controversial issues.

To treat or not patients who smoke.
    To perform or not, abortions.

Actually, one topic that's been around Winnipeg for a bit is the right of a doctor to unplug someone and who's decision it is. The family? The doctor? The courts?

All I know is that if I'm ever sick or need surgery, I won't have to worry at all about the cost of it. Sadly we don't have universal pills yet and I doubt our current conservative government will be changing that, but there's always hope.

Out or curiosity, how much do you guys pay for
    medical assessment following an injury
    X-rays
    casting
'Cause I got all that for free last April!

But don't worry, we always accept Americans as citizens, you can't help being born on the wrong side of the border.

    Ring Dimensions at Taiji Legacy

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had the dimensions of the rings during the 2007 TJL. I am trying to mark it off in my backyard. I also noticed that the ring sizes at TJL are smaller than the other tournaments that I have been to. So, I figure I would practice in a smaller ring so that I can be prepared for it if it does happen to be small.
