Sad Day in Wing Chun - death of a master

Our condolences go out to Master Ron Heimberger's family, friends and students all around the world.

Master Heimberger passed away on March 10. He died from an aggressive brain tumor. Details are on www.ipching.org

I personally studied under Master Heimberger before leaving to Master Samuel Kwok. I didn't leave because of any reasons involving Master Heimberger but a local instructor dispute. I talked with Master Heimberger personally about my leaving and he and I ended our conversation understanding that we were still part of the Ip Man Kung fu family especially through Ip ching. He wished me the best in my training and I ever respected him as a kung fu practitioner. Despite different views that many have had regarding his business ethics, he was still human being who left a family and many students behind.

If you wish to express condolences, you may email his wife at simo@wckfc.com

I, too was a student of Master Ron Heimberger, while I was living in South Texas. I was with Master Heimberger for about 4 years.

I, have previously made comments and posts about the wckfc and Master Heimberger and I would like all to know that those comments were done from a business perspective ONLY!!!!!!! Master Heimberger did have a passion for the Wing Chun and always spoke highly of Grandmaster Ip Ching.

I, have spent hours of private time with him as well as having had dinner with him on several occastions, and found those times to be a part of my history.

I, would like to extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to Master Ron Heimberger's family. At the end of the day Master Heimberger is still a human being with a family and a man who had a love for his family and Wing Chun.

Master Samuel Kwok, after being advised about Master Heimberger's passing asked that I post that he is deeply saddened by Master Heimberger's passing. Master Kwok went on to say that "It is a sad day for Wing Chun and when it is all said and done Master Heimberger is still my kung fu brother!"

I would like other families to also express their condolences to Master Heimberger's family. We may not all agree on the interpretations of Wing Chun but we are all humans who have families!!!!!!!and we all love and respect Wing Chun.................

My condolences to his family. I never met him in person or saw him in action, but I have read his book. He was an excellent graphic artist as well as martial artist.

I was half expecting to cross paths with Heimberger Sifu again at Seni08 in April, so to read of his passing here has left me in shock tbh.

My thoughts are with his family, friends and students at this time.

There is no REAL secrets in Wing Chun, but because the forms are conceptual you have to know how to decipher the information..That's the secret..

I only got to meet Sifu Heimberger a few times, but I'm glad I did.

Awesome Wing Chun teacher and illustrator/artist...but most important of all he was a really nice guy, and will be greatly missed.
