10 Reasons why cops are different.

Thought this was interesting. Makes a lot of sense when viewed in a simple pattern.

One of the guys I train with is a rookie cop. He's a real nice, cool guy. But I do worry he will get jaded over time as that is common. That one point about being treated different off work is especially true. When he is at other guy's houses for fight nights, people have made comments about not drinking and the guys who smoke don't do it when he is around.
When given the choice between big business and big government, choose big business. Big business never threw millions of people into gas chambers, but big government did.

Wait! Waitresses are different? I'm waiting for Sanjuro's photographic evidence on this one.

Of the two guys I went to school with who became cops, one of them was always a lying cheating thieving arsehole, and the other was a cool, good guy. As far as I know, they haven't changed, but the good guy is now promoted up to detective. The tosser is probably tossing hoes for tosses.
its safe to say that I train some martial arts. Im not that good really, but most people really suck, so I feel ok about that - Sunfist

By the way, the RCMP is more FBI than "police officers".

Those jackets are formal wear as far as I know.
I imagine they work just as hard as any country inundated with illegal guns manufactured in America.

And the police I've known and know, they work very, very hard. But so do the professors I know.

    To me this read like:

    Ten excuses why cops:

    are racist
    are violent
    beat their wives or children
feel the need to carry a gun everywhere...even in church

I remember in college delivering pizza I worked delivering pizza. There was this guy I worked with who wanted to be a cop. When you asked him why he would say,

"because I love beating up Ns"

Now that would be a relivant story if the poser actually became a cop. Most cops I know are percieved as being racist, violent, abusive, ect by small minded people who can't be bothered to look at something from someone else's point of veiw. Everyone has thier biases. You just played into my bigest one - people from Boulder don't live in the real world but prefer to creat something out of thin air and pot smoke.
