Jade Ring stepping in Steals the PEach

    Hey guys. Some quick questions:

1.) How would you describe the structure and movement of jade ring stance shuffling in White Monkey Steals the Peach?

2.) How far do you pick up the front leg before you lunge off of the back foot and strike?

3.) What height do you maintain throughout the style? Do you raise your height for higher strikes and lower it for lower strikes, or do you try to keep an even level all throughout?

4.) As for your personal preferences, how much do you turn in your front foot in a jade ring when trying to move fast, powerful, etc.?

5.) How would you describe a neutral position if you were trying to use these stylistic ideas in an actual fight or sparring match? Would you prefer something back-weighted, even-weighted, or something more like a high jade-ring?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

May want to include a pic, as different people use different terms.

I'll let you supply the answer...

There's a old 7* saying that may help you to find the answer. It goes something like this:

Hands of a Mantis, Body moves like a Swallow, Footwork of a monkey. (I'm paraphrasing- someone else will probably know the direct translation)
