Perfectly done, his lead leg gives just enough to absorbe the rather lackadaisical kick, catches it perfectly, pulls on it just enough and lands the right, right on the button.

You know what was the best part?
Irvin's pre match talk/ hype, how he was gonna show Silva that he was with the "big boys" now, how he was gonna find out why there are weight divisions.
You know, you wanna talk smack, find, but at least use so0me common sense in regards to WHO you are gonna talk smack about !

That was a sweet move! I've used that moved myself...granted, it was point sparring but I scored on it

It was that move that Mirco was trying to pull when he got KO'd.

Yeah, it's a fine line, you have to time it right...my sifu doesn't like it when I do that because it could leave you exposed if it doesn't work out.

It's just cool to see the rules of chuan at work. In the section"Knowing where your attacks and defense are" (Gong Fang Jian Bei), the second of four methods is "Quick attack after your block." When the leg kick went out Silva blocked it, saw the guy's guard open and attacked.

What some people miss is that Silva walks around at like 215, so he IS one of the big boys! And has played with them all his life!

Well, every fighting technique exposes you if you don't do it right or time it right.

It's about being better at your game than he is at his game.

My BJJ coach (one of the finest teachers I have ever had) says all the time:
    "Basic just means it works!"
    Nothing wrong with the basics!
