I can get ALL of my information from McCain's website...oops...he has a telegraph line.... but anyway, I can get info from a site, cut and paste what I want, quote out of context, and then report on it and claim it is the truth.

Gateway does this...as has Fox...I loved the Fox taking two journalists they hated and doing some bad phootshop on their pictures...and then a week or 2 ago, they complained that Newsweek ran an unflattering picture of Palin....that was NOT photshopped...maybe bad light and insufficient makeup...but real.

If screencaps from Obama's own website 'dont count' then I can't be bothered to respond to your questions. That's ridiculous to discount real proof like that because the source who posted the actual content of Obama's own webpage is ADMITTEDLY biased.

I stand corrected on the percentage of income going to taxes for an average American family. It is not ~50%, it is ~30%.

But US Dept of Labor stats do show families making $50k/yr and families making $150k/yr both spend more on taxes than ANY OTHER expense, including rent/mortgage,food, transportation, etc.

That's sad. Just think the Founding Fathers were upset at 2%.

You can also do something quite simple to fake a screen shot... try going to someone's website...copy their URL to - say WORD. Now go to a Porno site. Paste the copied URL into the navigation entry area...but don't hit enter....

Now do a screen capture... Oooh...you now have proof of someone's site...

It CAN be faked...

So give non-partisan proof...

So, this fits into what I was saying. UNPAID as in either a community volunteer, invited speaker, whatever. As in NOT something you would put on a resume as EMPLOYMENT...which is what a professional person would probably mean when they say "worked for" no money...you say did volunteer work, volunteered, or was a guest lecturer or presenter.... So, when you are a lawyer, semantics is your life...so still there is no proof that OBAMA lied. His web site may have been imprecise or an underling may have misunderstood...OR he could hav lied...but you can't say unequivocally that he did. This is NOT an absolute...and you keep trying to make it so...

Obama was working the the US Justice Dept on this. Now, was this as the official attorney for hire for ACORN (and even then he would not be working FOR ACORN...he would be representing them...terminology is everything) or was he doing it Pro Bono...as in freely giving his time. So, again, to say he lied is not supported by any absolute and CAN be refuted.

The statements by Foulkes does nothing to dispel anything I have already posted. ACORN 'appears' from his writings to be one of many organizations that participated in VOTE. Again, no indication of "working for or a close alliance" Also, ACORN as most grass roots organizations becomes aware very quickly of socially conscious and politically viable people. This again doe not mean anything beyond they noticed him as an up and coming force.... Gee...isn't that what the Democratic convention did in 2004. Foulkes claiming a friendship...on part of ACORN or as one political activist to another? The world of politics is small..in fact the world itself is quite small. That added to the attribution of the wrong year brings a lot into question.

Now, just what exactly would a lawyer such as Obama be telling a group of people at ACORN? More than likely, it had to do with the Motor Voter law, what the US law said, what the state of Illinois was trying to do and how it violated the Federal law... what were the legal boundaries for ACORN...and what the plan and approach for the lawsuit of the US against Illinois was or had been. Again, nothing earth shattering and no proof positive in any absolute of lying....



From all of this and your posting of the ABC news issue...it seems that you have only proven my point...and you have proven you did NOT read all of the report OR the links.

Federal Income taxes, State Income Taxes, and Social Security taxes are taken BEFORE you get you money and then State and Local Sales Taxes, Luxury Taxes (is a $14,000 car really a luxury???), Car tags, license fees, State Usage Taxes (on items you buy in one state but use in another, like my school mats...WTF?), and Property Taxes are taken out of what's left.

Sh1t, just look at the average tax on a gallon of gasoline.

I agree with 1bad65 that the cumulative tax rate is too high. They don't ALL come from federal income tax.

I got a hoot out of the footage of McCain telling supporters that Barack Obama is not an Arab, "he's an honest family man" or something to that effect.

Ignorance of not even knowing the ethnic background of a presidential candidate aside I got a chuckle out of the blatant racism of the statement...

After all it seems to imply that Arabs are not able to be "honest family men"...
