Hi people

I wanted some of your opinions on a ‘Master Yang Lian Chun’ who has started to teach around my area,

the local newspaper wrote that he has authored 14 martial art books. There is no mention of a style, or even lineage, in the article. They just say ‘The cheerful instructor, who once judged Hollywood star Jet Li in a martial arts competition, Entered the Shaolin Temple aged six, where he was trained by monks’

Are modern day Shaolin Temple arts more akin to WuShu than what would have been the ‘original’ Shaolin arts? (thats not meant to be posed as a trolling question – just a genuine question from somebody asking for advice!)

I know that, ultimately, i need to see and feel a class to judge his skill and teaching ability – i just wondered if anybody on here could shed some light on it before i went along?

Kind Regards

David
