I liked this thread better back in April.

Cung Le would love to face Anderson Silva

No, Le isn't calling Silva out. He does give a very humble answer to a tantalizing question.

Would you like to face Anderson Silva and if so how do you feel the fight would go.

Le: You know what, I would love to face Anderson Silva. A lot of people say “you should fight Anderson” but you know Anderson is UFC and I still have a four fight deal with Strikeforce. If it happens, great. If not, I’m not holding my breath. I definitely would be honored to fight someone like Anderson Silva.
What say you all? How would Le fare against Silva? It'll be southpaw vs southpaw, good wrestler vs good bjj, amazing striking vs amazing striking.

PS: even more exciting, Cung Le is playing Marshall Law in the new Tekken movie!
Jack Dempsey: "What would happen if a year-old baby fell from a fourth-floor window onto the head of a burly truck driver, standing on the sidewalk?

It's practically certain that the truckman would be knocked unconscious. He might die of brain concussion or a broken neck.

Even an innocent little baby can become a dangerous missile when its bodyweight is set into fast motion."

i would love to see that fight bc i think the way they both go at it would make a very exciting bout. i am a big fan of both fighters but i have to say i think le would lose. it would be one of those weird fights where i would be happy for whoever won and sad for whoever lost. i hope it eventually happens.

I don't think Le can come close to beating Silva.

Le is not a light heavyweight guys Wanderlei would slaughter him!
I think the enthusiasm is great that you all have for Le, but he is still working on his game and not quite ready for the big boys yet.
    Cheers,

Agreed. He's not in anyone's top 10 list for his weight class yet.

Dude, Cung Le is not ready to face anyone close to Serra or any other fighter in the UFC! His ground game needs work, and though his win over Shamrock was nice, I did not feel as if he was truly tested! Time will tell. There is no hurry for him to jump into the big leagues!
