World Hung Gar Day – Sunday March 22nd 2009

As Hung Gar is growing bigger and stronger we can show unity by organising a special day each year were we celebrate Hung Gar and our ancestors. An international training day.

Sunday March 22nd comes close to Wong Fei Hung's birthday, so this would be a good day to celebrate.

Everyone can organise this day in his own school, community, city, region, country. And you can have training, feasting, liondancing, etc.
But after that day, as soon as possibile, we have to exchange our experiences with pictures and videos, maybe do a great video collection on youtube.
    Any ideas welcome.

    1st WONG FEI HUNG DAY
    date: March 22th 2009
    place: everywhere!

Dear Hung Gar Brothers / Students,

to extend the knowledge of the Hung Kuen it's our will to celebrate the
    1st Wong Fei Hung Day

These are the details of this celebration day:

    * Every school can participate to this event without moving to another country. Every school, or country can organise as they want.

    * The important is to organise events about the Hung Ga Kuen and the root of this Kung Fu style and especially about Wong Fei Hung.

    * After that day everyone has to send more material as possible to a specific responsible who will manage all the documents and will produce a videos with events and pictures.

    * Optionally we can put all the material in the same place such as YouTube (www.youtube.com) for the videos or Flicker (www.flickr.com) for the pictures (in this case please wait for the details).

We would like to involve the Fo Shan government into this organization. If we can we would like to create a DVD to be sell. The earnings from the selling will be donate as gift to a charitable organization.

This event came from an idea of Francesco Palmieri (student of Lam Chung Sing) and Sergio and Luigi Martone (student of Chiu Chi Ling) and Please, for a better organization, refer to these people for any information.

Let us know your intention to join this event. We will promote the day as much as we can.

Please write to martonekwoon@gmail.com for every information you need.
