    ESPN Kung Fu Masters

Yesterday I have watched a old tv special program called "ESPN Kung Fu Masters" (a friend of a friend has it recorded in tape). It was a big kung fu demonstration filmed in Orlando, maybe in the 90´s, featuring several masters like Chan Pui, Art D´agostino, and others.

I was specially impressed with Chan Pui´s performance, he did a awesome shield-butterfly knife form.

Does anybody here knows anything about this event? I would love to get a copy of this show...

I think you are talking about a 1997 event that I have on tape as well...was there a staff vs. spear set done by Pan Qing Fu and his 'protege'?...I think there was also a melon ball hammer (?) set done as well.

this is also the event where you can see Cung Le and Rudi Ott fight.

I'll try to dig it up in the next day or two and see what it was called if someone else doesn't come up with it first.
"George never did wake up. And, even all that talking didn't make death any easier...at least not for us. Maybe, in the end, all you can really hope for is that your last thought is a nice one...even if it's just about the taste of a nice cold beer."

"If you find the right balance between desperation and fear you can make people believe anything"

"Is enlightenment even possible? Or, did I drive by it like a missed exit?"

    It's simpler than you think.

    I could be completely wrong"

    Thanks, Oso!

Yes, there´s Pan Qing Fu and his student doing staff vs. spear. They always perform this set, it´s not the first time I see them doing it.

Do you know if there´s a copy of this event in dvd to sell?

That was Johnny Lee & Jeff Bolt's tournament.

I think Cung Le fought Jason Yee that time and pretty much took it to him.

really? the one I'm remembering was Ott??? could be wrong though.

sorry, but, several things: #1 that tape was in a box that got flooded in a basement flood last year...haven't even tried to put in in the vhs #2, I don't have the capability to rip to digital anymore.

    Greetings,

Is this the same demo where Art D'Agostino performed with a long axe?
