Wang Zi Ping's bagua

I know that Wang Zi Ping is famous for his Tai chi, but I was wondering if anybody knew anything of the bagua he taught? As well who he may have learned his bagua skills from?

I didn't know he did either... I thought he was mostly known for his Tan Tui, Cha Chuan and his strength.

His Grand Daughter teaches his Bagua here in the states (she's very good and very pretty)...it's out west somewhere...I don't have the info here at work....I will try and find it when I get home.

I am not certain that Wang Ziping knew bagua per say. What I do know is that he had many friends and some were Masters of bagua.
Madame Wang was also talented in bagua and I believe they knew at least 3 bagua full systems ,linking palms the old bagua palm and swimmining dragon not to mention there own system. I say there own system because in the flying rainbow cirriculm that was created by Madame wang has a bagua fan that has not been demoed ar taught to my knowledge.
Between Wang Ziping and Madame Wang they meet many Masters and were good friends .The wealth of knowledge and information that were passed and seen is in ''aw'' for me.

Bagua is not one of the items Madam Wang ever really attributed to her father.

Her daughters trained with her, with her father as much as they could (the Cultural Revolution prevented a lot of things from happening) and then trained with family friends and acquaintances.

For example, included among those who Madam Wang's daughters learned Taijiquan from (besides Madam Wang) are Gu Luxing, Fu Zhongwen, Ma Yuehliang, Wu Yinghua. In addition, Madam Wang was friends with Sun Jianyun. Wang Ziping was friends with Sun Lutang, historian Tang Hao (in fact, Tang Hao taught Madam Wang calligraphy), and many others.

In addition, she was also accomplished in Chinese painting. Her daughter, Xiaoping, was trained by one of the better traditional artists in Shanghai.

Wang Ziping was the head of the Shaolin division at the Nanjing Central Guoshu school at the same time people like Yang Chengfu was associated with it. There was a lot of sharing of information.

Yeah, see, I knew that Grace Wu and her mother are Ba Gua masters, but I'd never seen Wang Zi Ping associated with it other than having friends who were Ba Gua masters.

Wang Zi Ping was a Hui (Chinese Muslim) and "No Hui worth his salt would dare go through life without the rudiments of the "eighteen fist fighting exercise" and "eight diagram boxing" etched in their mind and body. Also Master Wang was good friends with Ku Yu Cheung, they shared knowledge between themselves. As well shared teaching responsibilitys and set up the basic teaching curriculum at the Zhong-yang Association, which became famous at the Ching Woo School.

I think by "eight diagram boxing" they mean Ba Ji Quan, not Ba Gua Zhang.

Wang Zi Ping is known for his Ba Ji, and it's very common amongst the Hui.
