    May June 2009

The article about The Beijing opera in this month's ( May/June) issue of Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine is a great piece of work, worth-while information. As is Sanshou in UFC.

    Thanks you Gene

    Thanks Ron

I took the liberty of changing the title of your post to reflect the new issue. It hits the newsstands on 4/7 (next week).

I liked the chen xiaowang article. I don't practice chen style myself but I've always liked reading about chen jia gou, the chens are real kungfu masters.

BTW, Any idea when we'll get another southern special?

    Oh, and gene...............it's still on!

Thanks for keeping it on, SD

I have no plans for a southern special in the immediate future, sad to say. The specials happen organically. I don't really plan them. I just get enough submissions with a consistent theme and go with it. Lately, we haven't been getting that many southern style submissions. I'm not sure why that is. I haven't seen that much in our competitors either.

Stuff with the Subscriptions from Time to Time

You get a nifty dvd from time to time with a subscription. Also when life is life you get this nifty magazine with sturdy smoothe pages and colorful.

I made some clips about getting used to getting hit when working by yourself, and I get an ironbody dvd with a magazine. Sweet timimg. It can be motivational to see stuff when you are working on, on a related topic...Iron practice being Qi-Gongy.

The DVD - Iron Body Showcase - subscribers received is a real nice gift. It is a very well done dvd, a really good look at Iron Body.

    We thank you KF magazine.

We're glad you enjoyed that DVD

Our first insert DVD KungFuMagazine.com Presents: Iron Body Showcase was given out to subscribers as a complementary gift. It is also distributed to our bookstore vendors, but not our newsstand vendors. The DVD insert comes polybagged with the latest issue for a $1 extra on the cover price. Subscribers got it free of the extra charge.

We are planning to do more KungFuMagazine.com Presents DVDs, depending on the bookstore sales results. So far, reaction has been overwhelmingly positive and it's almost sold out at our local bookstores (but this is very colloquial data and has little bearing on our national results).

    Time to subscribe!
