I wasn't trying to be negative at all. I was just being honest about my feelings toward the product. It was ok. That's all.

No need to get in a hissy fit. Too late for that

so you've been doing pad work for "years"

but you aren't familiar with doing them randomly, or with movement?

    uh, ok

Actually....I can see this being very much true. I've seen pad work at many a school but without the movement or any resemblance to anything live.

He spent his money to buy your DVD so that he could just "fast forward" the disc and then badmouth it?????

How the review SHOULD have read:

Just got coach ross's San Da padwork DVD, and my opinion is a bit different from most of the others on this forum. First of all, there was no form called 'padwork' on the DVD. Instead people just spent time hitting these silly mits. Frankly, I can't see the value in that at all. If you want to learn how to punch your sisters pillow in a pillow fight, get coach ross's San Da Pad Work DVD. But if you want to really fight, and by that I mean really fight - go find somebody to teach you the SanDa padwork form. Ask for it by name, you won't be disappointed with the answer.

    The street has rules

I don't see how Coach Ross's DVD on pad drills has any realistic application:

I've never been attacked with a pad by anyone on the street!

Thank you for the interesting information.

I was not aware that there was a specific SanDa padwork form. So even SanDa has its own forms practice.

I would be grateful if you can give us a link that shows the real form, as the CMA world being what it is (just look at this forum and its dvds....lol) then there may be many false versions of this form floating around on the internet.

Who knows, perhaps even "sifu" Ross can benefit from the info and include the SanDa form in an up and coming "Sanda" DVD.

Well the form also seems to be a super-secret as far as Ross is concerned.
