first off pick a great school that already fights, train hard - tell your coach you want to fight, when you're ready you'll fight

Well, it depends on where you live.

I would do what Chino says. Find an active school and let them get you fights. You can go out and get your own, but it's risky. Besides, if you aren't actively training with fighters, I wouldn't count on winning too much, anyway.

You beat some amateur in a sparring match. It's not like you tapped Fedor or something. That kid could have had 6 months of training compared to your years of boxing, etc...

Maybe you were at a sh1tty school. Or maybe they just didn't think you were ready to fight. Or maybe you can fight, but you weren't committed or they didn't like your attitude, so they just ignored you. Lots of factors could be in play.

If you don't have people to train with, you aren't going to get very far. That's just life. Find some local promoter and sign up for a fight if you think you are ready. They'll take you. Amateurs are a dime a dozen.

Go to the amateur fights in your area. See what gyms the better fighters are training at and go check them out.

Most amateur fighters fight local, so most of the fighter's gyms will be in your area.

MasterKiller is also giving you good advice you should take into consideration as well.
When given the choice between big business and big government, choose big business. Big business never threw millions of people into gas chambers, but big government did.
