anyone recognize any of these monks?

i think at 3:45 is master shi xing ying? anyone can confirm this?

i seen a few of the other monks in other documentary, but cant rem their names

Hey PK,

It is hard to tell due to the grainy video. But from the ears and the way he does the stances, and the monkey form I would say that that is Xing Ying. I will have to show him that video and see if he remembers it. Xing Ying is known for not cutting his hair, I have him in a documentary much later looking like the Chinese Billy Idol.

The shami doing yinshougun is Chen Xiaolong. I just did a cover story on his dad - see Shaolin Masters Keeping the Faith in our 2008 November/December issue.

The monk in grey doing the iron body is Shi Xingwu (who went on to become Coolie in Kung Fu Hustle).

Most of the other stuff is too fast for me to discern, but I'm pretty sure that you're right - the monkey does look like Xingying.

The real treasure for me is the white dude who comes in at 7:15. That's Matt Polly.

Yeah that really do look like xing ying. Espcially at the last pose. And yes i do realize a lot of videos i see of master xing ying he has lots of hairs. lol

Hey PK, thanks for posting that video. That was Shifu, we showed it to him this weekend. He says he was 12 years old when that was done, he got a kick out of it.
