It is always the black dude who gets killed in action movies. Unless the star is black, being African American in an action film is like having a red shirt in Star Trek. EVEN THE BLACK TRANSFORMER dies.

Observations cribbed from author Steven Barnes, who is a really cool guy by the way, has some really funny stuff in regards to this. Met him last summer at an event in Vegas, it was like meeting a long lost brother. Dude is insanely funny and spot on with his observations. Really want to spit out your drink? Ask him why he likes slasher films.
