It is always the black dude who gets killed in action movies. Unless the star is black, being African American in an action film is like having a red shirt in Star Trek. EVEN THE BLACK TRANSFORMER dies.

Observations cribbed from author Steven Barnes, who is a really cool guy by the way, has some really funny stuff in regards to this. Met him last summer at an event in Vegas, it was like meeting a long lost brother. Dude is insanely funny and spot on with his observations. Really want to spit out your drink? To be fair, the Japanese always animate themselves as wide eyed white people for some odd reason. Unless it's a bad guy, in which case they always look thoroughly Japanese.
