    From Christine Toledo

Toledo's press release on this fight (note that this was released prior to the fight card was announced):
Christine Toledo is scheduled to fight on July 25, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada USA. The fight is promoted by Dennis Warner and InSync Productions. A total of 10 bouts have been scheduled - 5 bouts will be under Full Muay Thai rules, and 5 bouts will be under K-1 rules. The promoter has invited a team of China's best fighters to compete with a selected group of U.S. top professional fighters.

Toledo will be fighting in a 3 round bout under K-1 rules with her Chinese opponent and has agreed to fight in the 55kg weight division. Toledo and her opponent will be the only female bout in the event.

"I'm moving up in weight for this fight. My opponent is naturally heavier than me, but we agreed to meet in the same weight division. I suspect that this is a revenge duel to redeem her team mate's (Mao Lin Ninga) loss last year when I took the victory home from China", says Christine Toledo.

Toledo adds, "I haven't fought in a heavier weight division since I started fighting 7 years ago. This will definitely be a whole new test for me. My trainers and I are preparing for this fight much differently than other fights. Fighting a heavier opponent calls for a completely different training regimen and game plan".

I just got this email blast from Christine Toledo

Anyone in Vegas going? I've been invited and am working out the details. Got my fingers crossed!
My next fight is just around the corner! Less than two weeks away now. I will be fighting China's Zheng Yenan in a professional K-1 rules bout. This show will be different than others because it will showcase both Muay Thai and K-1. The theme of the fight is China vs. USA so you will see top fighters from both countries compete at a high level.

I will be fighting at a higher weight class (55kg) for this fight, so this is going to be different and a new challenge for me. I'm told that my opponent is seeking revenge to redeem her team mate's loss in November last year. Apparently when i took the victory over Mao Lin Ninga in China, it was a major upset to her hometown crowd. And now she wants to do the same to me. I don't want that to happen so I'm training as best I could to avoid her plan in the ring with me. I'm giving my heart, my all.

This fight is dedicated to my late grandmother Natividad Quindara who passed away on June 21, 2009. RIP Grandma Naty.

WCK MUAYTHAI BRINGS THIS YEAR’S SUPERFIGHTS TO LAS VEGAS

World Championship MuayThai Emerges as the Largest Muay Thai Competition in North America, complete with WBC and IKKC Title Fights

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- July 25th 2009 – Dennis Warner, Henan TV Station and In Sync Productions present this year’s most ambitious fighter lineup at the WCK MuayThai – Hilton Las Vegas, where elbows will fly and international belts will fuel the adrenaline rush. The top fighters will be representing England, China and USA. Four of the ten bouts will have WBC and IKKC titles on the line.

Brit Richard Fenwick will be defending his WBC MuayThai International Superwelter weight belt against the crowd favorite Malaipet. Beginning of this year Fenwick took the belt from Malaipet in a close-points decision at San Manuel Casino, Calif. “I am more comfortable fighting Fenwick this time around, I know his combinations and I am training hard,” comments Malaipet.

A Las Vegas-based Kevin Ross will rematch a Chinese favorite Kang En for a WBC Superlight weight belt. En won the title from Ross earlier this year by decision in Beijing. Ross comments: “July 25th is going to be the biggest fight of my life and I'm in my best shape ever. I'm going into this fight to put on a show, it's more important to be an exciting fighter that people are inspired by than to just eek out a win any way that you can. It is my goal to beat Kang En so badly that quits, I'm not letting this go to the judges. I'm going in there to dominate him, that belt is mine! I think that he is a great fighter with a lot of heart and I have nothing but respect for him, but he has no idea what he's in for. Fighting in front of my hometown is always such an honor for me. Nothing gets me pumped up like fighting in front of my friends and family. I just want to let all the fans know how much I do appreciate them.”

Rounding out the WBC International superfights, will be Romie Adanza, who will take on Paulo Da Silva for the third time. Adanza won the first match, while the Da Silva got TKO over Adanza the second time around, and with it Adanza’s IKKC International belt, which is also on the line on July 25th. “This is the most important fight of my life so far. I’ll never take my titles for granted anymore, I need my belt back”, adds Adanza.

Christine Toledo vs Zheng Yenan will be the only female Muay Thai bout in the event. Toledo and Yenan will be fighting in a 3 round bout under K-1 rules in the 55kg weight division.

Toledo notes that she is dedicating the July 25th fight to her grandmother.

Adding to the exceptional Muay Thai match-ups:
Jared Lara vs Vaughn Lucas – WBC National Supermiddle weight title
    Baxter Humby vs Xu Yan
    Wang Hongxiang vs Shawn Yarborough
    Wang Guan vs Chike Lindsay
    Shane Oblonsky vs Scotty Leffler
    Aotegen Batteer vs Danny Davis

The championships will be supervised by Charlermkiat Suvanamas.

    The Chinese lost their visas...

...it was one week before the fight when they got rejected.

This press release is from Christine Toledo.
Results from July 25 World Muay Thai Championship/Wulin Feng Event Announced for Fil-Am Professional Fighters Romie Adanza and Christine Toledo

July 27, 2009- Las Vegas, NV - Results for the World Championship Muay Thai / Wulin Feng event that took place at the Las Vegas Hilton on July 25 have been announced. Fil-Am professional fighters Romie Adanza and Christine Toledo performed on the card. Adanza won his bout against British champion Paulo Da Silva via TKO in the fourth round and earned the IKKC International and WBC Muay Thai Bantamweight U.S. championship titles. Toledo lost to her opponent Jeri Sitzes by unanimous decision.

Adanza fought to a rubber-match with his opponent Paulo Da Silva. The first bout ended in a victory for Adanza, and the second ended in a KO victory for Da Silva. On Saturday, Adanza took the "W" by ending the fight in 0:26 seconds of round 4. This was a full Muay Thai rules bout that was scheduled for 5 three minute rounds.

Toledo fought an opponent that was not announced until Thursday evening. Her originally scheduled Chinese opponent, Zheng Yenan was unable to fight due to complications with travel arrangements, as was the case for the entire China Team who were all scheduled to fight that night. Toledo was at a weight disadvantage by over 10 lbs to Jeri Sitzes, who appeared to look more powerful than Toledo. Sitzes dominated and controlled each of the rounds by moving Toledo back and pressing the attack with sharp combinations. This was a Wulin Feng rules bout that was scheduled for only 3 two minute rounds. Sitzes entered the ring with an undefeated professional Muay Thai record of 10-0. Toledo entered with a professional record of 3-0.

"When it comes down to it, I accepted the fight knowing exactly what I was getting myself into, so I have no regrets today for what happened on Saturday evening. Instead, I stand true to myself and will admit that I'm not the best, I'm not perfect, and there will always be plenty of room for improvement. I can sit here and make excuses about how much heavier and more skilled Jeri is than me, but the simple reality is that I stepped in the ring that night, I learned from the experience, and that is what counts and is more important to me than trying to reason with myself for the loss", says Christine Toledo.

Toledo adds," I felt very privileged to fight Jeri Sitzes. She is a seasoned fighter with many talents in the ring - a professional boxer, Muay Thai fighter, kick boxer and mixed martial artist, who has a great reputation for her wealth of experience in the fight game and has dominated in several weight divisions. I have a lot of respect for her and she truly is an inspiration to me".

Dennis Warner, Henan TV Station, and InSync Productions have scheduled for the original China vs. USA event to continue as planned. The event is anticipated to take place at the Las Vegas Hilton on Sunday, August 30, 2009.

Aw man, by the title I thought this was going to be like the K1 world/invitational event like they had the past couple years, I was hoping to see if a fighter I met in Cambodia named Eh Puthong was gonna be there, he made it to the final either last year or the year before and is considered one of the greatest Khmer Pradal Serey boxers ever. Anywho, looks like regardless of the troubles, this would be a cool event to see.

    Rescheduling for 8/30/9

I just got this press release from Christine Toledo
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Female Professional Muay Thai Fighter Christine Toledo to face Chinese Opponent Zheng Yenan on August 30 at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas

August 13, 2009, Las Vegas, NV – Dennis Warner, Henan TV Station, and InSync Productions will be presenting another Muay Thai Championship and WulinFeng event in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Hilton Hotel on Sunday, August 30. Female Professional Muay Thai Fighter Christine Toledo will be fighting in the event as she will face Chinese opponent Zheng Yenan at 54kg in a WulinFeng rules bout. This will be the only female bout on the card.

"Toledo (USA) vs. Yenan (China)" was supposed to have occurred on July 25 of this year. But complications with travel arrangements for the entire Chinese team presented a conflict that did not allow them to compete in what was claimed a highly anticipated show. In fact, it was announced sold out at the ticket booth on the night of the event. The American fighters who were matched with opponents from China were given notice two days before the fight that their opponents had been replaced. Toledo was matched with Jeri Sitzes from Springfield, Missouri.

With no opponents in Toledo’s natural weight division available to take the fight on short notice, Sitzes stepped in. Despite the weight and experience advantage Sitzes possessed over Toledo, both agreed to meet at 56kg to allow for the fight to happen. Sitzes won by unanimous decision. Although a loss for Toledo, she still remains ranked number one in the world at the 52kg weight division by the Women International Kickboxing Association (WIKBA).

Toledo comments, "I'm not down on myself about the loss to Jeri. She is absolutely one of the toughest fighters in the circuit and for me to have been in the ring with her was such a privilege. I am always up for any challenge that deems fairness. Many people will say my fight with Jeri was a mis-match, but we both agreed to fight each other and that was fair enough".

"I am ready and have been ready to fight Zheng Yenan. I look forward to a whole new fight experience, as I do for every fight", adds Toledo.

Other local Las Vegas fighters that will compete on the card include Kevin Ross, Shawn Yarborough, Danny Davis, Chaz Mulkey, Jack Thames and Scotty Leffler.

A press conference will be held in Chinatown (Las Vegas) on Thursday, August 27. More details to come.

Tickets are now available and can be purchased at www.aliasfightwear.com

The event begins at 7:00pm on Sunday, August 30 and will be held at Las Vegas Hilton, 3000 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89109.

    World Championship Muay Thai Tickets

The fight is promoted by Dennis Warner and InSync Productions. A total of 10 bouts have been scheduled - 5 bouts will be under Full Muay Thai rules, and 5 bouts will be under K-1 rules. The promoter has invited a team of China's best fighters to compete with a selected group of U.S. top professional fighters.

Kevin Ross vs Kang En: WBC International Superlight weight. Contrary to some sources that say that En snatched from Ross in Bejing early this year, the title was actually vacant at the time.

Christine Toledo will be fighting in a 3 round bout under K-1 rules with her Chinese opponent. Toledo and her opponent will be the only female bout in the event.

USA vs China - World Championship MuayThai - August 30, Las Vegas Hilton

WCK MUAYTHAI PRESENTS “USA VS CHINA” CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTS AT LAS VEGAS HILTON – AUGUST 30, 2009

Dennis Warner and In Sync Productions Team up with Henan TV Station to Bring Another Round of Historic Muay Thai Fights to Las Vegas; the Championship to Be Broadcasted to the People’s Republic of China

Las Vegas, Nev. -- August 30, 2009 – After the enormous success of the World Championship MuayThai that took place at the Las Vegas Hilton on July 25th, 2009, Dennis Warner and Henan TV Station are staging an unprecedented international face-off between the top stars of WuLinFeng, the most popular martial arts show in China and the top-dog Muay Thai fighters from the United States.

WuLinFeng, the number one fighting organization in China, which mainly employs the Wushu art, landed on Henan TV Station Satellite Channel in 2004, and has, since then, boasted a ten million viewer audience per episode. As the World Championship MuayThai fighters come into the ring, they will employ either WBC or the WuLinFeng rules, with the most distinctive differences being: no elbows allowed in WuLinFeng, limited clinch in WuLinFeng, fighter, falling down or being thrown down on the floor counts as an effective strike, and five three-minute rounds in WBC vs three three-minute rounds in WuLinFeng.

“The relationship with Henan TV Station is a strategic partnership for both organizations. For us, bringing Chinese athletes to the Unites States, does not only add a cultural aspect to the event, it also raises the bar for every fighter, if we take into account that China holds the first place in the number of the Olympic medals and is the birthplace of martial arts”, commented Dennis Warner, the President of In Sync Productions. He added: “For Henan TV Station, the expansion of WuLinFeng, the biggest promoter of martial arts in China into the large American Chinese community is the main focus, and there’s no better ground than World Championship MuayThai to do so.”

The muay thai night will be presented by the following match-ups:

    • The much anticipated WBC International Super Lightweight Title match between the WBC National Super Lightweight Champion Kevin Ross and the star of WuLinFeng, Kang En
    • Shawn Yarborough (with an astounding ProAm record of 73-5-1, with 55KOs) and Xu Hou, the WBC Chinese National Light Heavyweight Champion, will be fighting for the IKKC Muaythai Light Heavyweight Championship title
    • The #1 fighter, ranked by the Women's International Kickboxing Association, Christine Toledo vs Zheng Yenan
    • Always the public’s favorite, Baxter Humby vs Xu Yan
    • Danny Davis vs Wang Hongxiang
    • Bryce Krause vs Raul Rodriguez
    • Chike Lindsay vs Chaz Mulkey
    • Jack Thames vs Zou Dong Dong
    • Scotty Leffler vs Martin Hensch

The finalists of the above mentioned bouts will have the privilege of fighting in the international championship, which will take place in legendary ShaoLin Temple, China in October of this year. The event will be a tribute to the 20-year long career of Dennis Warner in the muay thai industry, and his unparalleled contribution to the development of the sport worldwide.
