His name is Ven. Yunhai (云海法师). According to this webpage, at that time he was head of Puzhao Monastery in Shandong Province (shown in the video) from 1988 to 1994. Then became abbot of Dasheng Monastery in Hebei Province from 1995 to 1999. He is currently the "honorary" head of Yufo (Jade Buddha) Monastery in Shanghai, which I live not far from. Should go check and see if he's still around doing his thing.

As far as I know hai Deng passed away (?), as for his disciple he may remain away from multitudes.

Yes, Hai Deng passed in the late 80s.
He had this disciple, and others as well.
I was curious about whether or not this guy was still alive and around.

Well I can't tell if he's alive but.. doing what he does in this form, the last jump, I doubt he has kidscool form though.
Lets wait for LFJ's visit to the temple in Shangai
