Rope dart is pretty cool, prob. my favorite soft weapon, my favorite hard weapon has to be the monk's spade. After that well they are all kind of cool. As far as aplicable, I guess any sword or staff form would be best to know. Just because you could pick up a stick, broom handle, pen, or tire iron, and be able to use them.

My absolute FAVORITE weapon is the nunchaku! Not because I think they are the best or even the coolest looking, but they are FUN! There are so many things you can do with them (how much of that is actually usefull in a real fight is questionable). They look so cool when you get fast with them.

I have several pairs of nunchuks.

2 pair of competition nunchuks with ball bearing swivel and chain
1 pair of heavy hardwood with ball bearing swivel and chain
2 pair of octagon wooden nunchuks with nylon cord
3 pairs of the soft foam nunchuks (gotta have these!)

One pair in one hand means you can do a whole lot more stuff than a pair in each hand. With one pair you can exchange them over your shoulder, under your armpit, around your waiste, behind your back, even between your legs! (be careful with that last one if you are a guy) With two pair you can do things like a figure 8 with each pair so that the nunchuks are always just barely missing each other (think of the nunchuks creating a wall of defense in front of you)

I've use nunchuks in competions and talent shows. I really wish I could get better with them. I just don't have the fluidity I would like. Just gotta keep working on them.

I love my Springfield 1911 .45. I compete with it at IDPA and carry it for protection.

    MY HANDS!!!!!!!! >:)

Everytime I put them in my pockets I get arrested for concealing deadly weapons!!!!!!!!

Ok, sorry, had to be said on a kungfu Forum!!!!

Really, I like the Butterfly sword, small, compact but dangerous, even used singly!

The three section staff would probably be a lot of fun to learn to use.

And I like the smaller version of the hooked swords.

My favorite all time weapon is a staff 4-8 inches. It can even be used as a spear or sword. You also know that the only person to ever beat Japans Greatest Swordsman Musashi wielded a staff and not another sword. Either that or like i said before, give me a pair of steel-toed boots and a couple of brass knuckles and i'm happy

    Fave Weapon?

I am just wondering what the majority of people on here like the most. I am just curious as to what you like to train with, what you use it for, and how long you have been using it.
The greatest thing about me is that I know that I am the ONLY one that knows the truth about all! Damo lives within me, and me ONLY - for there is nobody that knows the truth more - so stick that in your pipe and smoke it sparky's!!!

    Boadsword , definately the broadsword
i just like the way it flows.
for about 6 years off & on.
i used to know several different forms but, now theyre rusty (not the sword) so i usually just practice basics. i still do my favorite 5-animal form with it pretty good though.

    hmm

Well i cant exactly carry weapons but if i was going too...
I like the Gim or Tai Chi strait sword for dueling and 1 on 1
I like the Iron bone fan for practice and accuracy
I like the duel broad swords if your gonna go the tonk on a battle field.

Failing that , im a Hung Ga man, ill happily use my forearms against someone with a pole.
Up and down, forward and backward, left and right, its all the same. All of this is done with the mind, not externaly.
