It is amazing how much punishment the human body can take and survive, and how little it takes to kill it sometimes.

Those slashes on the upper back are textbook examples of basic knife combos. I have always kind of been astonished by these pictures; its almost as if the attacker said, "OK stand there while I carve up your back for the camera..."

the blade is the great equalizer. You don't need size, strength or power.
Perfectly suitable for smaller people, women, the elderly, and anyone facing a large, muscled, testoserone-powered, guy with a shaved head, goatee, tattoos, wearing a Tap out t-shirt.

We were shown those very pics in our defensive folding knife classes.... it was a father-son fight. They did that to each other and were still on their feet!

The moment they ask us to choose between two different paths, the implicit message is that we can only follow one. -Daniele Bolelli, On The Warrior’s Path

is that the father or the son?
Either way, in that family, when Dad says,"Go to your room!"
    you'd better go!

IIRC, that's the son- but we saw pics of Dad too, and he didn't look much better!
