    Hybrid gloves

Anyone got any experience with the hybrid gel MMA gloves? Is the padding as effective as the traditional MMA training gloves?

The gel feels like concrete when you get hit with it. I prefer foam gloves.

Personally I like http://titleboxing.com I have never used any of their hybrid or MMA gloves but their boxing and kickboxing equipment is top notch and very well priced. Ringside is good too but a bit more expensive.

I've used a lot of different types of gloves over the years; we use these same ones. Combat sports MMA safety sparring gloves; real well made.

The Combat Sports gloves aren't available in the UK, and I actually have a pair of Sandee ones. I asked because the foam ones are quite bulky in comparison with the hybrid ones, which are closer to a fight glove, and must therefore make grappling easier.

Bulky gloves get in the way some, but fight gloves are not training gloves. They hurt a lot more, and possibly result in cuts. I'd rather have more padding with less chance of serious injury for class.
