The ones mentioned above are assosiated with Sifu Chung K. Chow, although Sifu Julio's website is down.

Also, is Eric Artz in Redmond at Art of Defence, but I'm unsure as to his current status.

    Wing chun in Seattle

    Hello all:

    Just to clarify:

Real Wing Chun in Seattle is from the Sifu Duncan Leung lineage, not Chung K. Chow.

    Cheers

Since I live in Seattle, I thought I'd de-lurk and say hi.

I train at Seattle Wing Chun. It's a small school, but visitors are always welcome.

Anyone else here in the Seattle area?

Bruce Lee spent a considerable amount of time in Seattle and it marked his early development at a stage when he was young and just starting to experiment outside of the Wing Chun paradigm.

If you can trace them, a couple of his students are still in the area.

Bruce Lee apparently lived and trained in his teens with a fellow by the name of Yeung Fook, who brought the following lineage with him:

    http://www.wingchunkuen.com/modules....content&tid=17

Yeung Fook was an opera performer, and it was through this that Bruce's father was able to make a connection with him in Seattle. An arrangement was made for the teen to stay there for a period of time. During this time, Yeung Fook showed Bruce some of what he knew of the Red Boat Opera Wing Chun. Bruce left before he was supposed to for some reason. My instructor says that David Harris trained with Yeung Fook, and that he learned from him. Yeung Fook died recently (?), but maybe he had students that stayed in the seattle area. It seems most of his lineage that I've connected with is outside of the Seattle area.

It varies of course, but on average maybe a half-dozen?

Do you guys do a lot of chi sao?
I'd say yes, but it depends on what you consider "a lot"

Not to dig up an old thread but Mr. Yeung is still alive. He doesn't teach anymore however. I think he still does occasional qi gong workshops or something. I've never seen him.
