    Last night's volunteer meeting

We had a volunteer meeting last night at a special advanced screening of The Karate Kid. Unfortunately, it was not an exclusive screening, and such events are always overbooked, so many people got shut out. We did warn everyone to get there early, however, I was there at 5:50 and just got in myself (the screening was at 7). Nevertheless, some intrepid vols still made it in. Here's a pic (there's more on our Facebook & MySpace):

What's more, there was an article about our event in the World Journal. It takes a little web navigation to get there - navigation in Chinese. Go to http://74.208.100.139/wjepaperlogin/....aspx?20100601
On the right hand side, there's a nav bar. Click the 19th from the top that says 南灣. That should do it.

We're still hoping to get more WildAid Tiger Champion competitors, especially as this is a benefit division for a great cause. There are great prizes and there's now discussion of filming a documentary short on this division. That's on top of the great prizes and high-profile coverage we'll have for this division. Help save wild tigers. Support the WildAid Tiger Champion!

Gigi just told me that we have five full tables already at the Welcoming banquet. We expect to have one more. Most all of our VIPs will be there, along with some of our major supporters. If you want to come, let us know ASAP: Contact Gigi Oh at Gigi@TCMedia.com or (408) 209-8150. She says that ABC Seafood has an excellent menu prepared.

It's not too late to sign up for our WildAid Tiger Champion division. Every entry gets a special gift package and will be featured in our magazine!

We have produced a special line of Year of the Tiger T-shirts, proceeds are donated to WildAid. These shirts are the winners of WildAid's first design contest. Buy them both and support WildAid's efforts to protect tigers in the wild.

WildAid Year of the Tiger shirt by Mari of Miami

WildAid Year of the Tiger shirt by Todd of Brooklyn

I just posted this in our announcements and our WildAid Tiger Champion thread. I'll probably merge all these stray threads together here after the event next week.
