Shaolin Heads!!! Can I please have your opinions on these U.K schools

    Hi People

I currently live in London, and really want to find a school thats going to compliment my mantis. I'm afraid if I start learning something so completely different that I'm going to forget/unlearn all the mantis i've crammed in my head. I dunno I feel quite loyal to my original sifu, and to be honest woudn't consider switching styles if there was a mantis alternative....ANYWAY...

I have come across these schools and wanted to know if you have any opinions/knowledge regarding them. Heres what i've gathered so far...

    1) Shaolin Temple UK
Pros - Great fitness/conditioning opportunities, excellent teacher, very SanShou orientated so good for fighting, extremely tough training, should be a good compliment to my mantis, good facilities
Cons - Heavily SanShou so applications taught will be 'glove orientated', not many forms taught (mainly XiaoHongQuan), miss out on all the traditional shaolin techniques etc...kinda like i'd be spending my time learning kickboxing

    2) TangLong UK - Another Shaolin teacher (though not from the temple I dont think - Shifu Heng Wei?)

Pros - Great body conditioning (lots of emphasis on flexibility, acrobatics etc), lots of traditional forms taught, SanShou taught but not emphasised 100%
Cons - Not as great facilities, could be very 'wushu' based, can't vouch if the shifu is legit shaolin?

What do you think looks like a good option? Or can you recommend any other schools in London?

    Thanks!

    Craig

Thanks for rescuing it to a more 'troll free' area of the forum

I've been toying with the idea of arranging some sorta meet up on one of the commons through the summer; a sorta free trade of skills

    anyhow look me up
