I was under the impression that, originally, Korra was the daughter of Aang and Katara...

The story is very intriguing, well woven with the new and the old.

    Perfectly delightful completely unexpected.

so korra is 17, which means ang died 63years after the show ended...which means he was around 75 pretty young for a master of all four elements.

Who was/were the Avatars in the mean time ??
And if Korra was the only one, what happened to the cycle? or the others that should have been the avatar?

When Aang passed the Avatar reincarnated as Korra at least that is what I have been told.

I think the cycle is different if you live below the equator LOL!

if you read my post it youll see it clearly point out that when aang died korra was born....let me explain again, korra is 17 the show takes place 70 years after the original series 70-17=53, aang was 12(actually he was probably closer to 14, but lets stick with 12) 12+53=65...my math was super wrong up there btw...lol i guess i gave aang 10 years cause i felt bad...wow he was really young.

See the opening credits to The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra

Get ready to forget the summer of 2010 happened all over again! The opening credits for Nickelodeon's upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender spin-off The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra has hit the web. This clip, along with the trailer we saw a while back, looks enjoyably epic — the new series will premiere in 2012.
This leaked footage has already been taken off YouTube.
