    Wah Lum's Tai Chi

Anyone know the origin/lineage of the Yang style Wah Lum teaches?

IIRC it was from Bow Sim Mark?

    thanks,

I see, so you're saying that Master Chan created this style from scratch?

    There's no lineage information?

Only once did I ever see a similar Tai Chi set and I had the video clip, along with all my other KF videos, on a hard drive that crashed not too long ago. I haven't yet been able to recover it but still trying.

Unfortunately I don't remember where I found it and I have no idea who it was performing the set but it was older black & white footage. It was basically the whole set with additional moves throughout. The Wah Lum set seemed to be a slightly simplified or condensed version.

Other than that I have no idea where MC learned the set. I never asked and nobody volunteered the info.

Edit: It's the Yang 108 Long Form. I've seen a few but they always look different. This looks like the video I had on the crashed HD.

    Wah lum Taiji

The Yang-style Long-form that wahlum does is an older version Yang 108 from Chen village. It was taught to Chan Pui from Mok Poi On in Hong Kong in the early 1980's...

    Oh Crap.. .Mok Poi On.
I remember the day that Sifu Chan received a call that Mok had passed on. It was mid day and we were in the temple training (informally). Wow. Memories...
