Chi Sau Demo: WT vs VT/WC?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruY9rHueaso

Can someone translate this? I'm curious to know what is being said and what transpired. Leung Ting's brother is apparently the technician. Who is the other person? Obviously he has some background in WC/WT/VT.

Also, what do you guys think of the chi sao. Seems like it got a bit heated and then started to look less and less like chi sao and more like a fight.

    Thanks,
    taojkd

Doesn't say who the other guy is. They just refer to him as "the youth". Venue is Guangzhou Sports Institute.

Can you translate more about what happened and what the demo was supposed to be. I'm thinking things didn't go as planned here. Curious as to what Leung Ting said to the audience after the chi sau

Seems like they asked for an audience member up on stage and apparently he had some training. Oops. I kinda feel bad for that instructor to be put in that position. You never know who's actually in the audience that day.

LT's comment at the end is incomplete. He says: "I already said that chi sau is different [to fighting I guess?]. In principle if he doesn't hit him, then ..." [clip finishes].

At the beginning of the clip he says: "If a member of the audience comes up then he'll have to remove his blindfold because he can't really control himself".

The poster's (the WT guy in the clip) comment below the clip says that he "took the fall" in order to avoid damaging the back curtain (yeah right!).

Nice to see Wing Chun people actually having a go.
"From a psychological point of view, demons represent the universal equivalents of the dark, cruel, animal depths of the mind. When we as martial artists are preparing ourselves to overcome our fear of domination at the hands of an opponent, we must go deep within our inner being and allow the darkest parts of ourselves to be revealed. In order to battle the monsters in an abyss, we must sometimes unleash the demon within" http://darkwingchun.wordpress.com/

That wasn't LT's brother. That is Leung Kwok Wah, one of LT's senior most student (who's still with him). This particular video was posted as a "complete" view of the incident because another video of the same incident was posted earlier and considered to be biased. There is another video in the links (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DMaw...eature=related) which showed what WT is all about. Words and actions are 2 different things.
