1. in the 1980's, I was at universities. so email became an easy way to communicate.
networking of computers at universities made them possible worldwide.
so and so edu
2. I searched universities webpages for info, then jerry yang was compiling search engine for yahoo, he had to browse so many sites and group them into categorie with some key words. we all used yahoo to search. netscape was a very good browser (free version) with many functionalities for college and graduate students
3. many other search engines pop up such as infoseek, -----google
4. in 2005, youtube started to host personal videos, they accept and assimilate all video files. thus streamlined video hosting and made them available to everyone
5. in 2006, I jumped the wagon and uploaded some practice vid's. they became popular for my kung fu brothers and sisters in China and Taiwan.
6, some how, china banned youtube. I started to upload some videos in youku, the first video hosting site in china. so my kung fu brothers and sisters in china may link my vids.

my point is that thanks to the backbone of university computers that make internet possible. (of course, the idea was from linking defense computers in case of the nuclear strikes in the late 50s and 60s)
The linking of webpages, images, videos makes internet internet--
dare I ask what that pic is from?
"My Gung-Fu may not be Your Gung-Fu.
Gwok-Si, Gwok-Faht"
"I will not be part of the generation
that killed Kung-Fu."
