As past traditional courses in kungfu had songs/poems to encapsulate their teachings, here are the ones I've been using, some of which I've posted in their entirity before:
Why fighting is like ****ing: a discription of the fine art of knowing what the other person is doing, having a reason for what you're doing, the communicative aspects of fighting.
Why aren't you hitting him? A brief introduction to the fact that you're training for fight related activities, not who can do the coolest bridge that ends up going nowhere.
Why I am Here To Destroy Your Self Confidence: How I'm going to tell you every detail you are doing wrong every time you do it wrong, how you will hear these same things and work these same things every class, and why I do it so that these things sink in, not because I expect you to be perfect.
And, of course, the oath:
I will only use my kung fu to defend my family, friends, and country, I will be respectful, kind, and open, and I will kill or maim whomsoever KC Elbows tells me to, without exception.
