White Crane/ Hop Gar in NYC

I will be visiting a friend in NYC early November, and since I was in the area, I wanted to check out some kung fu schools. I'm especially interested in Lama/ Hop Gar/ White Crane Kung Fu.

Does anyone practice at this school? I tried calling them and emailing them, but no one has responded, and the number is disconnected.

I also tried emailing Sifu Ventura from Chan Tai San's lineage, but I haven't gotten a response.

Anybody have some suggestions for other kung fu schools to visit in the Manhattan area?

    Thanks in advance

try LKFMDC on the forum (Dave Ross); he runs NY San Da, but he might be willing to do some Lama; or if not, at least put you in touch w someone who does

keep trying w Ventura as well, he's also on FB, might get a response there

    White Crane is closed

Ventura is no longer in New York

    I don't teach kung fu

So you're probably out of luck

Ummm, what about Mike Parella's school?
It is bias to think that the art of war is just for killing people. It is not to kill people, it is to kill evil. It is a strategem to give life to many people by killing the evil of one person.

    1. Carle Place is NOT NYC... it's an hour long island railroad ride away

    2. Doubt Mike is much into his kung fu classes right now, he's got an insane little kickboxing program going

There is no REAL secrets in Wing Chun, but because the forms are conceptual you have to know how to decipher the information..That's the secret..
