Chinese Professor Ad

Get a load of this latest ad. It started making the rounds during the election and is obviously tailor made for all of the racist and ignorant Tea Baggers out there. The message is so confusing and ironic that you would have to be a completely mis-informed dumb@ss to think the Center Against Government Waste were credible at all. Perhaps that's what they're counting on.
It's supposedly set in Beijing in the year 2030, after China has somehow managed to dominate the U.S. economy. This professor asks his class, "Why do great nations fail?" and after comparing us to the Roman Empire and the British Empire, he rattles out a list of reasons. These seem to correlate with Obama's tactics for getting us out of the colossal mess that GW Bush and his cohorts handed us after he stepped down (whoever doesn't think his administration was to blame needs electro-shock therapy). After telling his students that "America tried to spend and tax itself" (an epithet used to enrage conservatives) out of the recession, he mentions our "enormous stimulus spending." Really, this is why we'll fail? I guess they're assuming nobody's up on the latest news. After China's initial stimulus package of $586 billion back in 2008 and $1.4 trillion in stimulus money lent from China's state-owned banks, their economy expanded by 8.7% in 2009 and 9.6% in the third quarter of 2010. Leaving this country in the dust (GDP growth for the U.S. was 2% in the 3rd quarter of 2010) after our much smaller $700 billion dollar stimulus package. So...how does stimulus spending not work? Why would a Chinese professor be saying that if it obviously worked for their country?
Then he mentions "massive changes to healthcare." Nearly all major medical facilities in China are run by the government. They overhauled their system back in 2005 to make healthcare more affordable to the rural poor. By 2007, 80% of the rural population was covered. That's 685 million people! A number greater than the entire population of the U.S., which now has about 47 million people lacking healthcare coverage. And John Boehner said we have "the best healthcare system in the world"!! "The best" for who, rich people? How is it "the best"? And, once again, why would a Chinese professor in 2030 say that overhauling healthcare was a mistake?
Going into how the Chinese professor saying that "government takeovers of private industries" doesn't make sense seems pointless, since most of the state-owned companies in China are giants and are heavily subsidized. The country is less Communist than it used to be, but it's still a hell of a lot more socialist than we are. So why would he point this out as having been one of our major flaws when they've outdone us using this same strategy?
The ad's just ridiculous. The professor finally mentions our "crushing debt" and how they own it and now we work for them. Well, what administration started borrowing and spending us into this hole? Do I even need to say? What administration decided to invade Iraq for no reason? Maybe if this country hadn't been spending over 20% of it's budget on its military, we would have had the kind of capital China had to pay for our debt.
On a final note, the ad is prejudiced against Chinese people. In the eyes of the racist white Americans who believe in this kind of bull****, China is defined not only by its system of government, but by its people. It's as if the advertisers were trying to say, "Look at the evil Chinese boogeymen! They're going to enslave you! Run for the hills!!" It's effective advertising for racist Tea Baggers. Don't they realize that they are the reason we fail?
