I practiced it briefly in the mid 80s (I was 12 at the time) but we moved so I couldn't continue studying it. I found it to be a well rounded system...
anyone else has ever been exposed to it?

yes. I taught a guy who was a Sifu in that style in Puerto Rico. Once he dug a bit into the "history and lineage," he dropped it entirely.
"My Gung-Fu may not be Your Gung-Fu.
Gwok-Si, Gwok-Faht"
"I will not be part of the generation
that killed Kung-Fu."

who did you train with in PR? I taught Hung-Ga to Sifu David Gonzales in Aguada.

Cool... I studied with Sifu Jose Ramon Perfume in Mayaguez. Then I went to study CLF with Sifu Shiang Soroastro though Nassan Ulanga's school (Hung Ga/CLF) was more popular and open to the public but is was like 3 hours away.
Sifu David Gonzales sounds very familiar though...
