    RIP Zhang Wenguang

I'm still gathering details on this, but GM Zhang on 11/27 in Beijing. His funeral was on 11/29 at the Beijing Muslim Cemetery.

Zhang Wenguang was a 9th duan master and the teacher of Wu Bin. In our upcoming issue, January February 2011, there's a list of all the 9 duan masters. When we went to press, there were only two 9 duan masters who were deceased.

Sadly, I never met GM Zhang. Neither did our publisher, Gigi Oh.

I still remember he showed me his personal sword in his apartment when he was the vice-chairpeson of the Beijing PE University. That was 26 years ago.

He must be over 90 years old now. May be the "last" person ever graduated from the Nankjing koushou kwoon.
