    The Spartans in Sparta They spar.

    This is SPARTA.

    The gladiators also spar to death in the coliseum for the entertainment for the romans.

    This is Roma.

    The soldiers also spar.

    This is army.

    Oh I spar regularly with sword with kendo suits on.

    This is Chinese jian shu/dao or Ken do or chu ko ku Ken jitsu.

    In Scotland, it's "Jah-mee-sun"
    In Canada, it's "Jay-miss-un"

    The ah vs ay sound is a north vs south thing with the Scots pronunciation.
