    Anonymous strikes back

Anonymous hacks website, exposes emails of “security” company

    HBGary Federal Hacked by Anonymous

    http://krebsonsecurity.com/2011/02/h...-by-anonymous/

so this company is one of the security firms used by the federal government to protect data... they tried to use anonymous to get attention and they got attention thats for sure... people dont understand anonymous, they think its an organization... its not... its a group of like minded individuals... most of whom never know the others they work with... they compartmentalize themselves and protect their anonymity while filling in a piece of a larger puzzle... there is no leadership, just people who take the time to lead on certain agendas...

or a complete nightmare, depending on where you stand... the law enforcement community should be happy that a good percentage of these guys are egotistical loudmouths that get themselves caught... and the idiot drones that participate in an open door ddos attack... no anon proxy, nada... stupid stupid people...

but there is that small percentage that is lightyears ahead of the curve... to social engineer your way into the data of a security firm is a big deal...

    Inside Anonymous’ Secret War Room

John Cook and Adrian Chen — Dissident members of the internet hacktivist group Anonymous, tired of what they call the mob's "unpatriotic" ways, have provided law enforcement with chat logs of the group's leadership planning crimes, as well as what they say are key members' identities. They also gave them to us.

    Anonymous isn't an organization.
It has the appearance of one, but it isn't.

Anonymous members come and go, grow and grow and they are thousands of disconnected individuals brought together like an altruistic flash mob.

They aren't anybody and as soon as you think they are, they disappear.

Personally, as a concept I see them as a necessity. Like a constitutional watch dog of sorts. lol

    Go anonymous!

Yeah, they no doubt have a member or two from 4chan and at the same time some uni comp sci profs with tenure who lead them like digital dumbledorfs.

Well, if you don't see me, I've been smacked down by anonymous.
