Philip is using primarily WSL's wing chun in that clip.
He uses alot of Choy Lay fut at first then he uses more ving tsun as the sparring goes on.

In the very beginning some but when he kind of takes over he is using wing chun. You can see which one he is more comfortable with.

I have spoken with him before he is friends with my Sidai and I know his dad. I know he is comfortable with his CLF but there is nothing wrong with the fact his Wing Chun is very good.
My point is the OP said it was hung sing CLF vs. hung kuen but it is more wing chun vs. hung kuen. No big deal.
but it's not "more ving tsun vs hung kuen" that's my point. He is using clf for a good amount of time.

Yup. I'd say Wing Chun vs. Hung Kuen.
Regardless, I liked the clip. It's hard to show style playing like that, as any strike outside a take down will not stop the opponent. With a little tweaking it is a good intermediate 2-person training exercise w/out putting on gloves.
He showed better Hung Kuen style playing on the bridge.

when it comes to head huntin, ain't no one can do it better
Here’s a behind-the-scenes clip of another sparring session that I participated in from the same show. I used mostly CLF during this session.

Please keep in mind that these were all merely impromptu (and friendly) sparring sessions filmed for a television show/documentary (in fact, a lot of the sparring that I did ended up on the cutting room floor due to the program's time constraints). I totally respect Hung Kuen and honestly learned a lot while hosting this episode, so hopefully everyone can enjoy the show/documentary for what it is rather than having this turn into a "style vs. style" thing.

Philip

Does your show air on TVB? I have Jadeworld for the wife and mother-in-law at home and get several TVB shows and CCTV4. Would love to check out the show. Good stuff.
Peace.
Thanks for the compliments guys
The show aired on TVB in HK last year, and I think it already aired on the overseas TVB network as well, but all of season one's episodes can be viewed online via the production company's official site for the show -

It's in Chinese but I heard that they were in talks with oversea distribution companies, so it's possible to see this show with subtitles on a DVD in the future.

Beats watching your patterns versus theirs. You're putting it out there.
Good on ya.

Anything else good in the works, Philip?
