hopefully gene doesnt mind but seeing as this is the martial arts in media bored, i thought this is right on topic. anyway so a couple of years ago, i directed a feature film. since then ive directed more commercials, then i care to mention. lol, anyway i gave this film to one of my partners who wanted to sell it, infact that was his grounds for investing, fast forward a few years, hasnt done bupkiss. so i just recently took over getting the film sold.

anyway i use to have a bunch of clips on youtube and then suddenly last year youtube deleted my entire account, and i successfully took them to court, anyway i just re uploaded. several clips from the movie and just want everyone's support, and hope that i get this film to a dvd, VOD distributor...thanks alot.

One thing and this has nothing to do with your stuff but a comment on "assassin" movies in general.
Why do they put professional assassins fighting like that?
I know that people like the flashy crap but with all practicality, a killer would NOT want to risk damaging his hands unless he had NO other resort and then he would probably try to fight more along the lines of the Bourne stuff and use as much open hands or hammerfists or elbows or improvised weapons as possible.
If you break a hand and can't pull a trigger....well...

Let me tell you, one of the things that used to drive my sniper instructors crazy was that I liked to fight.
I remember one saying that one broken hand and you are useless to us.

i agree with you 100% sanjuro. but you know like all of us i watched wayyy to many hong kong films..lol, and wanted this to be something more along those lines. ive actually worked on another short film last year that was less flashy more jeff imada.

When I want realism, I watch the documentaries or the news. When I want action movies, I'm down with crazy fight scenes that defy logic. I've seen enough street fights (and run away from enough too ) to know that most all fights in film are unrealistic - for one thing, they are way too clean. Jeff Imaga's stuff is great, like we discussed with Hanna, but it still looks nothing like a messy down and dirty street fight. What does a real assassin's fighting style look like? Well, I don't think anyone wants to damage their hands.

Doug, you can't watch too many Hong Kong films, IMO. Thankfully, there's always more. I changed the post title to match what you edited (looks like only admin can do that).

man real assassins are not like the movies at all..some are even like super fat..cause you dont need to be physically fit to pull a trigger. just look at all the old murder inc. guys.
