    Dancing and your kung fu

    I'm on a salsa kick.

All our special footwork occurs in dance, discuss the specialness of it.

It was a natural fit dance for me.
Tango is up there too, but the paso just feels "right".

I challenge anyone to watch this and not have the "song" stuck in your head the rest of the day.

Good to hear. I am somewhat of a salsa expert, you know, more on the musical side, than the dancing side, but I am still a pretty decent dancer.

I also happen to live in Cali, Colombia, known by many as the World Salsa Capital. Here is how salsa is done here in Cali. This was filmed during the yearly World Salsa Festival:

What you see here is the real McCoy!

Salsa is like kung fu. You have the REAL deal and then you have the various McSalsa versions and schools and music/DJs etc.

I am believer in adage that for good MA, one needs good rhythm for oneself, as well as to recognize it in his opponent, in order to disrupt him. And of course, regular dancing will give help one's physical co-ordination, as well.

Oh, I could tell you stories about the ladies.

If you ever decide to brush up on your salsa dancing here in the world salsa capital, let me know. Some of the ladies I see in the clubs "disrupt" my rhythm big time...

Too funny, you can see half our class at a local social dance club on Friday nights...salsa, tango, quickstep anyone?
