    Hi Phil, thanks for the video. I like what I saw, never mind evolution ... that's innovation, adding some "live" action response to the wooden dummy.

    Can you possibly steer me/us to any more link(s) of his video using the rattan arms?

    This is actually trained in many lineages in Mainland China, there is a variation of this called the Jook Jong (Bamboo Stakes).

    This is training for "Sao Dai San" (Hands lead the body) and footwork.

    A great insightful clip Phil, and something I too am very familiar with

    Personally I feel that we do not need to look too far away from Wing Chun to find evolutions and innovations that have already taken place, with every new students differences and needs being addressed and refined.

    With a strong foundation our motion is limitless.
